STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A new charter high school on Staten Island designed to provide an accelerated pathway to higher education was approved by policymakers at the state Department of Education (DOE) this week.
The Board of Regents approved the Lois and Richard Nicotra Early College Charter School application on Tuesday.
The school will provide equal opportunities for all students, including students with disabilities, English Language learners and economically disadvantaged students.
